Her music career is inextricably tied to her humanitarian projects to provide music education to underprivileged and marginalized groups.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 18px\"> She has founded several nonprofit groups, including Midori &amp; Friends, a non-profit organization that brings high-quality and free music education programmes to underserved youth with little or no access to the arts; MUSIC SHARING (based in Japan and active throughout Asia); and Partners in Performance (based in the US) to bring music to small communities, young people and others with limited access.
